    On A Cold Winter Evening

    Tree tops like temple peaks
    Peaking towards the sky
    Drenched in winter frosts
    Standing lone
Where my vision seems too lost

I rub the window pane with my hand
To wash out the frost attached there
    Chill glass bits my skin
    Shivers me
From feet and to my chin

I can hear the sounds of clapping ripples
    Brushing against the lake shores
The cold rocks standing on the foot of the hill
    And some pebbles
    There chill and still

    I look from my balcony
    To the frozen evening landscape
I fix my vision to the great Church top
The ringing bell hung over there
That brings to my heart, a ray of hope

The burning round yellow street lights
    Brightens the cold winter roads
Where on them an icy frost sit
    Stands still, doing its job
The frozen atmosphere, it tries to lit

    Twinkling dim stars
    Under the great canopy
    Seems cold and shivering
    While as I walk around
I hear those sleepy starlings sing.

Lonely as I sit in the corner of my room
    Trying to beat the cold
Slow heat of fire from the fireplace
Sweet, silent, I try to fall sleep
The beauties of the winter, I in my heart embrace
